Volusia County Schools has appointed Dr. Matt Kuhn as its new chief technology officer.

Dr. Kuhn graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a bachelor’s in aircraft-engineering technology. His master’s degree is in secondary science education, and his doctorate is in educational-technology administration, both from the University of Denver.

Dr. Kuhn is also the author of books and articles on technology in education. His experience includes teaching science and serving as a school principal.

As the CTO of the Volusia County Schools Information Technology Services Division, Dr. Kuhn manages several areas, such as network infrastructure, technical support, instruction applications, telecommunications, audio/visual systems, enterprise implementations, database administration, student-information systems and more.
