ROBBED — DeLand Police received a call around 1:30 p.m. today, March 10, about a robbery at the PNC Bank at 312 N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand. The suspect is not armed, and no one was injured in the robbery.

Update, 5 p.m. March 10:

The City of DeLand released additional information about the alleged robbery at the PNC Bank at 312 N. Woodland Blvd. in Downtown DeLand.

The DeLand Police Department responded at 1:41 p.m. March 10.

“Detectives responded and learned an unknown person entered the bank and handed the teller a note,” Community Information Specialist Vicki Karr said. “The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.”

City officials said the suspect’s note told the teller that he was robbing the bank.

An alleged robbery at the PNC Bank in DeLand has DeLand Police and the Volusia Sheriff’s Office looking for a suspect.

The suspect is not armed, City of DeLand Community Information Specialist Vicki Karr told The Beacon.

DeLand Police received a call around 1:30 p.m. reporting a robbery at the PNC Bank at 312 N. Woodland Blvd.

As of yet no information is available about the amount of money that was stolen. No one was injured.

“We have very preliminary info right now, but we have everything blocked off a perimeter up, and we have units out looking for a possible suspect,” Karr said.
