Colin’s Dream Skate Park at Coleman Park in Orange City reopened its skate park to the public May 11 after it was closed Jan. 4 for repairs. The updated skate park includes decking that provides a safe space for spectators to look on as skaters utilize the park’s center. This new decking will eliminate the problems with erosion that the park previously had as onlookers were made to stand along the grassy perimeter of the ramps. Funding for the improvements came from the Community Center Block Grant.
