THE MAN AND HIS VISION — Futurist, inventor, writer and speaker R. Buckminster Fuller stands in front of the skeleton of a geodesic dome, a structure he popularized in the mid-20th century. Domes like this one can be found throughout Florida, and a number of smaller structures were built around DeLand in the 1980s when the visionary invested in a research park in the city.
