The Volusia County Transit Services Division recently unveiled VoRide — a new mobility on-demand initiative in partnership with transportation company Via. Set to start offering rides in November, VoRide will provide residents with a cost-effective, flexible, point-to-point travel experience.

VoRide vehicles will bear the VoRide emblem, and every driver will be an employee of Via who has undergone comprehensive background checks.

VoRide will begin service in the DeLand area soon with a standard fare of $2 per ride per individual. Payment options will include credit and debit cards through the VoRide app. Children under 7 years old will ride for free with an accompanying parent or guardian.
