Looking for a local spot for a nice date night? Orange City is bringing back “Date Night in the Park,” replacing a family-friendly “Movie in the Park” event.

This event at Mill Lake Park will be 6-9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, with music by DJ MusicAL and dessert with hot cocoa provided for guests by the city. The current potential movie titles are Top Gun: Maverick, Dirty Dancing, and Mission Impossible.

The Orange City Council’s hope for the event is to diversify city events without adding
to the special events calendar or spending money outside of the special events budget.

The Orange City Council unanimously voted to schedule “Date Night in the Park,” with the exception of Mayor Gary Blair, who was absent.
