As gasoline prices dip, more Floridians are planning to be on the road, on the rails or in the air during the Thanksgiving holiday period.
AAA predicts about 3 million people living within the Sunshine State will take trips of 50 miles or more from their homes during the long holiday weekend. That number of anticipated travelers is about 3 percent higher than last year.
As they motor from place to place within Florida, drivers will find fuel prices generally lower than in recent weeks and months. Some service stations in West Volusia, for example, have posted prices less than $3 per gallon.
