The overall market value of Volusia County’s real estate property and business equipment, along with the assessed and taxable values for the year that just ended, is now available.
Property Appraiser Larry Bartlett has released the figures showing that the total estimated worth of the county’s land and improvements is just under $97.8 billion. The overall taxable values total $70.6 billion. Both numbers are record highs in the county’s history and come amid a boom in values spurred on by Florida’s population boom, as more people move to the Sunshine State.
The final tax roll comes after refinements and revisions in property values, following changes made by Bartlett’s staff and changes made in the deliberations of the county’s Value Adjustment Board.
