A gunshot blew out the right window of DeLand Pilates in Downtown DeLand around 7:04 p.m. Monday, March 4. Woodland Boulevard was closed for about two hours from State Road 44 to Indiana Avenue while police and crime scene technicians investigated. 

A group of runners had briefly stopped a few feet away about 10 seconds before, they said.

“I was worried about the people inside, but they’re all OK,” Scot Broman, one of the runners, said. Broman and at least one other runner were hit but not injured by the explosion of glass.

The DeLand Police Department confirmed that no one was injured and that the investigation is active.
