“From the river to the sea, Palestine must be free” is a slogan currently chanted by Palestinians living in and around Israel. It is quite different from a promise made 4,000 years ago (2000 B.C.). “From the river to the sea, I give this land to thee,” is a covenant made by God to Abraham, a progenitor of the Jewish race, and his heirs.
The covenant is forever and must be obeyed. There shall be no amendments or changes allowed. It identifies territorial boundaries of the land, which is a sanctuary and future home for the Jews.
There shall be no modifying agreements between the Jews and the current inhabitants; hence a two-state solution is not an option the covenant promises.
Those who befriend the Jews will be blessed; those who persecute the Jews will be cursed.
The original wording of the covenant is found in God’s written record. We are to “search the scriptures daily” to seek solutions for these issues. Let this covenant be a guide when seeking a solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. God bless us all in those endeavors.
