Editor, The Beacon:

I suggest that Orange Camp Road and MLK in DeLand be designated as state raceways rather than roads. Neither “raceway” has police patrolling, speed limits are whatever the driver desires, and the noise level of motorcycles and mufflerless autos rattles the windows at all times of day and night. Very irritating for those of us who enjoy some sanity and quiet.
