Blue Spring State Park has been a staple in Volusia County for years. Recently, the park has undergone construction to stabilize the shoreline of the spring. Because of this, swimming and other water-related activities are closed until restoration is completed.
However, that doesn’t mean the local hot spot isn’t offering a variety of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Yoga in the park will be hosted on Friday, May 10, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Other events include:
Paddles with Pops, which will happen Saturday, June 15, 10-11 a.m.
The website describes the event as “Explore the St. Johns River on a self-guided paddle adventure! This is a unique and enjoyable event where guests can partake in a one hour tandem kayak or canoe paddle followed by a BBQ lunch. This event is designed to create lasting memories for fathers or father figures and their families.” You can check out more events from Blue Spring at https://www.floridastateparks.org.
I love Blue Springs, my family and I went there all the time. Please, please keep me informed if possible when swimming is allowed again. That will be one of God’s beautiful days!!! Thank you.
Sincerely,
Linda Teresa Underwood
is the park still under construction and does this hinder the manatee viewing?
