Because of the inability to gain a quorum, the May 20 regular meeting of the Deltona City Commission has been canceled.
The mayor and commission was supposed to convene at 6:30 p.m., planned absences made it unlikely a sufficient number of members would be in the chambers for the session. Under the city’s charter, at least four members of the seven members of the elected body must be together to conduct official business.
The Deltona City Commission is not scheduled to meet again until Monday, June 3.
