A space traveler crash-landed on planet Earth. While finding a solution to repair his broken ship, he stumbles onto the life-forms that inhabit Earth: plants, animals and the audience.
The art of clowning is used to tell a story using mainly body language, dance, puppetry and music. This family adventure encourages audience participation as Oaty, our alien, learns about life on Earth, and all of the beauty and the mystery it has to offer.
Oaty’s Earthly Odyssey is an entirely original circus-style production that was created, directed and performed by local artist Jorge Cabal. The show features high-flying acrobatic acts performed by Central Florida aerialist Avery Wilson.
This dynamic and heartfelt production is the perfect show for the entire family. It has many elements of audience participation, hilarious displays of comedy, and beautiful demonstrations of acrobatic stunts to amaze and inspire.
There are giant mushrooms, a rocket ship, flying puppetry and more to enjoy in this hilarious and awe-inspiring performance.
With fantastical elements of wonder, lights, sounds and laughs, Oaty’s is a show meant to entertain the entire family. Witness this heartwarming tale and help Oaty find a way home for one weekend only at Gateway Center for the Arts this August!
