I know the job my dad, Richard Paiva, is running for, being one of the longest-serving commissioners in DeLand history, currently serving as vice mayor. I have participated in more than 500 City Commission, CRA, budget and other committee meetings.

I would be proud to have my dad replace me on the City Commission. I know and trust him to do what is right for DeLand.

I have had 49 years to attest that my dad, Richard Paiva, has the right character, skills, knowledge, passion and ability to do this job.

My dad has helped guide me through many life adventures. My dad has always been there for me, as a friend, best man at my wedding, cheerleader (for my weightlifting meets), political adviser and business partner.

He has always been there for me, and if you vote for him, he will be there for you as citizens of DeLand.
