
The Youth Action Coalition is holding a carwash fundraiser to help support New Hope Animal Shelter in DeLand Aug. 17. The Youth Action Coalition is an organization that helps promote youth towards success through volunteering in the community.

Kayle Jacobs is one of the leaders of the Volusia County chapter of the Youth Action Coalition and she is wildly passionate about engaging the youth of the county.
“My organization volunteers twice a month by socializing the animals, exercising, and raising donations for the animals,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs and her group host bi-monthly fundraisers on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month to help support the New Hope animal shelter. Jacobs and her group of animal heroes will be at the Deland Zaxbys from 11 am-6pm on August 17 having a car wash for New Hope, they are accepting donations of wet or dry pet food or monetary donations. The shelter is in desperate need of wet kitten food.
