Editor, The Beacon:

In echoing the sentiments of Joan Carter on the governor vetoing the arts and culture funding, it also reminds me that it is an inquisitive and informative time in a child’s life of seeking to belong and having an outlet. The arts for many fill the need to belong and provide an outlet that oftentimes is difficult for a child to express. You can’t put a price on a life, and that is what I was given.
