Trump has incited violence

Editor, The Beacon:

Dear Mayor of Deltona,

I read in The Beacon your response to political violence, and you are quoted as saying, “I hate to say it, but I blame President Biden for a lot of this.” I was curious how you came to that conclusion. In your mind, does Trump not deserve any blame for inciting violence? Have you not heard anything Trump has said in the past six years?

Talk about fomenting violence. Did you forget about what happened on Jan. 6? Trump’s speech that day was full of violent rhetoric. He tried to overturn a free and fair election.

It doesn’t matter what your party affiliation is, but it shouldn’t be party over country. You claim you are a constitutionalist, but Trump doesn’t hold the Constitution in high esteem or any esteem at all. He’s on record as saying the Constitution should be terminated because he didn’t like the results of the 2020 election.

It seems the Republican Party doesn’t deal in truth or reality. I would hope that in the future you take a more reasoned approach before making political statements that have no basis in fact.
Sincerely,

Edward Morehouse

  1. Amen, Mr Morehouse. I couldn’t have expressed it better. Trump is a despicable liar not to mention a convicted felon. If that is the best the Republicans can do then their party is in sad shape. Maybe he can move to the Villages and make himself dictator there.
