Bloom Endeavors, a unique boutique and creative hub, will celebrate its grand opening at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at 115 E. Rich Ave. in DeLand.

A Vision Born From Passion

What began as a vision during the COVID-19 pandemic has blossomed into a thriving business that nurtures local talent and brings together creators from all walks of life.

“Bloom Endeavors began as a heartfelt concept around our kitchen table a few years ago, born out of our shared passion for creativity across various mediums,” said Elliana Dix, co-founder. “Coming from a lineage of creatives, side-hustlers, and DIY enthusiasts, we faced the challenge many artists do: balancing full-time jobs with the desire to create and sell our work.”

The concept of Bloom Endeavors took root from a shared need for a space to showcase their work and build connections.

“Initially, we hosted quarterly markets in Artisan Alley, creating a much-needed space for ourselves and fellow artists to connect with the community,” Dix said.

“However, the demand for more consistent opportunities to showcase our work led us to rent and renovate a space at 115 E. Rich Ave. in DeLand.”

Now, Bloom Endeavors is not just a store – it’s a thriving cultural hub where local artists can connect, collaborate, and share their work with the world.

“What started as a small online venture selling plants, minerals, and handcrafted art has grown into a thriving brick-and-mortar shop,” Dix said.

Bloom Endeavors is more than just a business; it’s a community space where local makers and creators can showcase their talent.

CULTURAL HUB — Where artists can connect.

“Our journey has been filled with hard work, but the relationships and connections we’ve built make it all worthwhile,” Breanna Nax said. Nax is a co-founder of Bloom Endeavors. “We aim not only to provide unique, high-quality items but also to foster a supportive and inspiring environment for creativity to flourish.”

Bloom Endeavors offers a diverse array of products and services, celebrating the creativity of artists from across Central Florida.

“Our collective includes painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers, gardeners, and more, making us the ideal destination for anyone looking to find unique, handmade items,” Dix said.

Whether you’re seeking a painting to enhance your living space, handmade jewelry to elevate your style, or handcrafted soap and candles for the perfect gift, Bloom Endeavors has something special for everyone.

In addition to traditional art, Bloom Endeavors offerings include stained glass, hand-knitted clothing, hair accessories, hand-painted acrylic nails, and handcarved furniture like tables and bowls.

“We also feature natural treasures such as agatized coral,” Dix said. “Beyond selling products, Bloom Endeavors is deeply committed to supporting local artisans and fostering a welcoming space where creativity can thrive.”

Bloom Endeavors’ commitment to connecting people to their perfect piece extends to their artists. The founders take immense pride in fostering a supportive community where both artists and customers feel valued and inspired.

“Equally rewarding is helping our artists focus on their craft by handling the business side of things, allowing them to pour their energy into creating more brilliant works,” Dix said. “Witnessing the joy that our space brings to everyone involved makes all the hard work truly worthwhile.”

“Yes! Bloom Endeavors isn’t just a store; it’s also a hub for creative collaboration,” Jenn Moore said. Moore is a co-founder of Bloom Endeavors. “We plan to host workshops, art showcases, podcasts and community events to further connect people with local talent. It’s important to us that our boutique feels like a welcoming space where inspiration thrives.”

Bloom Endeavors offers an array of art, and they offer classes for the community.

“At the moment, classes we offer include Sewing 101 (Sewing 201 coming soon!), How to Build a Terrarium, Photography 101, and How to Make a Spoon Ring,” Dix said.

Bloom Endeavors’ Grand Opening will feature music, refreshments, and artist meet-and-greets 5-7 p.m.

“We invite the DeLand community to join them for this special occasion,” Dix said. “We couldn’t have done this without the support of our friends, family, and the amazing community here in DeLand.”

Dix added a reminder to shop local when you can. “By choosing to support local businesses, we help build a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.”
