There was a rather large but somewhat brief electric outage in DeLand on MLK Day.
Approximately 11,000 customers of Duke Energy were without electricity during the mid-morning of Jan. 20.
“Duke Energy Florida experienced an outage in the DeLand area which occurred at approximately 9:45 am,” wrote Ana Gibbs, a spokeswoman for the utility, in an email response to a query from The Beacon. “The last customer was restored at approximately 10:45 am.”
What caused the power loss is not known.
“The cause of the outage is still under investigation,” Gibbs added.
They don’t know what caused so they don’t know what fixed it ? …
Excellent point! 🙂
