Longtime DeLand Chamber Executive Director Dal Ritchey passed away Jan. 31 at age 83. In his tenure as business cheerleader, Ritchey oversaw the beginnings of the revitalization of Downtown DeLand and the greater DeLand area. He retired as director in 1999, but continued to serve the Volusia community by working for the American Red Cross chapter in Daytona Beach.
