
Sheriff’s Office seizes more than 60 grams of cocaine and $50,000 in cash from DeLand apartment

The Volusia County Sheriff’s office with a search warrant that snared over 60 grams of cocaine and more than $50,000 in cash.
A narcotics-related search and seizure warrant was executed at Century Dunes Apartment Complex on Integra Circle in southeast DeLand Feb 19. A drug raid there led to the recovery of allegedly more than 60 grams of cocaine that was found in the apartment. At 1:45 p.m. Volusia Sheriff’s Office sergeants and detectives entered the apartment of 30-year-old Freddie Bryant, knowing that he had a previous active arrest warrant for felony narcotics charges, according to the charging affidavit.
Authorities allegedly discovered more than 60 grams of cocaine hidden in a couch compartment and $52,388 in cash concealed inside a dryer vent hose.
Bryant was arrested for cocaine trafficking, and three other related charges.
Bryant is currently held at Volusia County Branch Jail on a $37,000 bond.
