U.S. economic survival dependent on Trump’s success

Editor, The Beacon:

Why are we going broke, and what is Trump doing about it?

Arguably, with $37 trillion in debt, we are already broke, and the additional trillion dollars of debt we rack up every several months just means we are more broke.

We spend more than we take in. We have a big trade deficit. Trump is using tariffs to try to level the playing field. We spend aid, foreign aid, on others. Trump is cracking down on the USAID and trying to limit spending in support of Ukraine by ending the war and having Europeans bear more of the burden, saving 10s and potentially 100s of billions of dollars.

The federal government is bloated. The federal workforce is being cut, saving billions. There is significant fraud, waste and abuse in the federal government. DOGE and Cabinet secretaries are identifying opportunities and saving billions.

Vast numbers of illegal immigrants burden the federal and local governments with the costs of food, shelter, medical care, education and transportation. Trump has strengthened the border and dramatically reduced the flow of illegals into the country and is deporting many, especially criminals.

Manufacturing was outsourced. Trump has secured more than a trillion dollars of foreign investment, and U.S. manufacturing jobs are increasing. The U.S. has a dependency on foreign sources of strategic materials. Trump is cutting red tape to make it easier and quicker to ramp up potential domestic production and negotiating agreements with Ukraine and potentially Greenland.

Rampant government corruption is being exposed. It is to be determined if responsible individuals will be held seriously accountable.

The nation’s economic survival would seem to depend on Trump’s success.
