Abnormally large scissors in hand, the City of DeLand Mayor, Chris Cloudman precedes over a new Downtown restaurant on East Rich Avenue. Hunters and Gathers provides “high-quality, scratch-made cooking that’s anything but ordinary,” according to its website. Its menu will offer “scratch-made food, quality meats, brunch, and a late-night menu.” This establishment is owned by Taylor Bass, the person who owns Bake Chop Artisan Kitchen, Venue 142 and Bake Chop Market. It is located in the same space most well known for also occupying “Hunter’s” and “Bellini’s Deli & Restaurant.” The restaurant is open: Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-10 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and is closed Monday through Tuesday.
