A longtime DeLand doctor now leads a group of like-minded medical professionals. Dr. Bruce Rankin, D.O., center left, takes the oath of office to become the 127th president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, as given by American Osteopathic Association President-elect Dr. Robert Piccinini, D.O.

At far left is Dr. Bridget Bellingar, D.O., past president of the Florida Society of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and far right is Dr. Michael Markou, D.O., immediate past president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.

Rankin was installed as president of the FOMA March 15 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando. Rankin had a busy primary-care practice in West Volusia until he left Complete Health in 2023 to devote full time to medical research. Rankin is the director and principal investigator of Accel Clinical Research.
