Ivy Hawn Middle School’s Film Program has achieved remarkable success at the prestigious Student Television Network (STN) Convention, bringing home multiple awards for excellence in student filmmaking. Competing with hundreds of schools nationwide, Ivy Hawn’s talented young filmmakers stood out, showcasing their creativity, technical skills and innovative storytelling.
The annual conference provides an opportunity for middle- and high-school students to participate in various competitions, workshops and networking events. This year’s event saw Ivy Hawn students competing in categories ranging from news production to short films, where they earned top honors for their outstanding work.
Awards and achievements:
Best Middle School Film: Ivy Hawn’s Film Program won the top award for Best Middle School Film, a prestigious recognition that highlights the school’s consistent excellence in filmmaking at the national level.
Best Short Film: Ivy Hawn’s student team won second place in the highly competitive Short Film category, impressing judges with their original screenplay, professional editing and captivating performances.
Best Commercial: Ivy Hawn also clinched the second-place award in the Best Commercial category, impressing judges with a cleverly crafted advertisement that demonstrated exceptional creativity and a strong understanding of marketing principles.
