
Volusia County Schools will hold its third annual “Shark Tank” style districtwide pitch competition for high school entrepreneurship students to pitch their business ideas live to judges from local businesses and chambers of commerce.
The competition aims to teach high schoolers about entrepreneurship and idea generation. Winners will advance to compete in NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) regional and national competitions.
WHEN: Thursday, April 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
9:00 to 9:30 a.m.: Student and Judge Sign-in
9:30 to 10:00 a.m.: Introduction and competition format explanation
10:00 to 11:00 a.m.: Competition presentations
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Final Presentations
12:00 to 12:30 p.m.: Awards presented
