Trump 2.0 gets curiouser and curiouser. Canada, our evil enemy, requires a Russian-like invasion and annexation. Trump praises Putin and suspends U.S. military programs blocking Russian cyberattacks and sabotage activities.

Trump’s promise to slow inflation and grocery prices is shelved by tariffs and layoffs.

“Lowering prices is hard.” Trump’s new message, expect pain and maybe a recession. Lifelines like Social Security and programs that feed infants, schoolkids and poor people are cut.

Our slow but steady trend toward human rights for all is rapidly reversed. Women, nonheterosexuals and people of color, including Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics and Asians, are deleted. The list of notable veterans buried at Arlington National Cemetery now includes only white males. NASA cancels plans for a woman and person of color on the next moon landing.

Food safety, CDC, EPA, Medicaid, Medicare and Veterans Affairs lose critical staff. Cancer research cut. Scientists working on bird flu fired. RKF Jr. suggests letting bird flu “run its course,” a plan that increases by millions the chance of viral mutations. Lowering our high infant mortality and raising our lagging life expectancies are no longer goals.

White-collar police defunded. Agencies with fraud and antitrust cases against billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg eliminated. I can’t wait for their trickle-down tax breaks.
