Wood you believe it! Starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, the City of DeLand and the DeLand Breakfast Rotary are teaming up to give away 1,000 trees. 

If you’re thinking of branching out and growing your landscape, the assortment will include live oaks, Southern magnolia, persimmon, yaupon holly and river birch saplings. The giveaway is first come, first serve, and there is a limit of three trees per residence, six per vehicle. 

The first 100 people will also get free mulch.

This tree-mendous event will be located at the City of DeLand Public Works complex at 1102 S. Garfield Ave.
