BUILDING UP AND OUT — Along with the developments in the City of DeLand’s
and Orange City’s portions of the former Southwest Activity Center, other developments
are either on the way or completed, as this map shows. Trycon, a 26-
acre mixed-use development in Orange City’s portion of the SWAC, was approved
by the Orange City Council in 2020. There’s also the I-4 Logistics Park, a 128-acre
project approved by the Deltona City Commission (see photo on Page 9A). That
project is under construction, and will eventually include a 1 million-square-foot
warehouse, along with two smaller 500,000-square-foot buildings. The I-4 Logistics
Park will be just across the street from the Amazon fulfillment center at 2600
N. Normandy Blvd. in Deltona. That project began construction in early 2020 and
opened for business later that year.
