Asteroids!

Part of the Volusia Reads Together program, based on the sci-fi novel Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Asteroids are so much more than rocks in space. These unique objects originally helped bring life to Earth and may also threaten to destroy it. In this talk, Ashley Kehoe, assistant professor of astronomy at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, will give a broad overview of what we know (and what we are still learning) about asteroids.
