Athens Theatre 100th-Anniversary Celebration: Taking DeLand Back to 1922

From 1 to 4 p.m., live entertainment outside with The Ramblers, a 13-piece band that plays jazz and swing music from the 1920s; vaudeville street performances by Phantasmagoria; costume contests wearing 1920s/flapper outfits and a Charleston Dance-Off; refreshments; speakers; all for free. From 4 to 5 p.m., inside the theater, a video montage highlighting the theater during its earlier years, and entertainment from Athens stars and the youth academy. Admission: $10.
