Auditions for Don’t Dress for Dinner

Roles (adults 18 and over) for this romantic comedy include Bernard (Paris husband), Jacqueline (his wife), Robert (his friend), Suzanne (his mistress), Suzette (his cook) and George (her husband). Actors will be asked to complete a rehearsal application and read from the script. A one-minute monologue is optional. Accents are not required for this production. All actors must wear a mask. Show description: A dinner takes place in a French farmhouse about a two-hour drive from Paris. Suppose Bernard is hoping to send his wife, Jacqueline, out of town to romance his mistress, Suzanne, a model. Suppose Bernard hires a Cordon Bleu cook, Suzette. Suppose he invites his friend Robert to dinner as an alibi. Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers. Suppose Jacqueline will not leave for the weekend. Suppose the cook has to pretend to be the mistress and the mistress the cook. Suppose everyone’s alibi gets confused. Performance dates are March 4-6 and 11-13.
