‘Corals in Florida’

Guests attending should use the Quay Assisi to access due to bridge construction on Barracuda Boulevard. While hard corals are not abundant in coastal Central Florida, Floridians often enjoy snorkeling and diving in areas where corals grow. Carolyn Kovacs will discuss coral ecology, the kinds of corals found throughout Florida and the Caribbean, the species that exist on jetties and artificial reefs offshore, and issues faced by corals, including current conservation and restoration practices.
