DeLeon Springs State Park 40th Anniversary Celebration

Historian and former park manager Brian Polk will share his expertise about the historic days leading up to the dedication day of our state park. Big door prizes; history talks; music jam pavilion; kids-and-family play area; phone photo scavenger hunt; cornhole; aquarium room; ranger-led hikes; artisans; volleyball; and lots of game prizes. We will have a brief introduction of some friends who were “In the Park When It Happened,” and to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for their work in protecting this rich area surrounding the springs for all future generations to appreciate. Bring a picnic, or a cookout, or experience the restaurant. Take a swim, rent a kayak, and discover the area on an eco boat tour. Entrance fee: $6 per carload up to eight people; $4 for one person.
