Hands-On History Workshop – A Stitch in Time: Beginning Embroidery

 For youth ages 10-16, and adults if space is available. It is amazing what you can do with a needle and thread. Take a look at some antique samplers and see how children in the past learned to embroider. In this workshop, kids will learn some simple but very useful stitches and then create a colorful pin to add to a backpack, hat, or anyplace they want.  Once we get the basics down, the sky’s the limit in what can be embellished with embroidery stitches! We will provide all of the stitching supplies. Cost: $10 youth; $15 adults. Reservations are required; call 386-740-6813.
