‘Hear Her Voice’ Stetson University Faculty Recital

November 17, 2021 @ 7:30 pm

Featuring Jamie Clark, cello. “Hear Her Voice” features the world premiere of seven new works (written for Clark) by a diverse collective of women composers this past year for solo cello and electronics. Clark is assistant professor of cello and coordinator of chamber music at Stetson University. The compilation of new works offers myriad distinct female perspectives during the COVID-19 pandemic’s global isolation and unrest. “Hear Her Voice” compositions include “Gratia Plena” by Eliza Brown; “The World May Be on Fire, But at Least It’s Warm” by Annie Nikunen; “Righteous Rage” by Brittany J. Green; “Back Forth (Home Is Where the…)” by Anne Wang; “Sol-Etude” by Polina Nazaykinskaya; “Coeurs et Fleurs” by Lilliya Ugay; and “Perpetual Deja Vu” by Binna Kim. Admission: free.
