Lemonade Lecture Series: Florida’s Historical Forts

Learn about forts that now sit as relics of a bygone age in Florida history as author J. “Zach” Zacharias discusses his new book, Florida Forts: On the Edge of Empire. Spanish, English, French and Americans built major fortifications to control the all-important strategic peninsula. Uncover the history of Florida through historic forts such as Fort Caroline, Fort Clinch, St. Augustine Castillo, Fort Pickens, Fort Christmas and many more. Light refreshments, including lemonade, will be served. Free. Advance registration is requested, and guests are asked to wear a mask.
