Local History Talk: Archaeology and Prehistory

During a meeting of the West Volusia Historical Society in recognition of Indigenous Peoples Month, presenters Brian Polk, retired DeLeon Springs Park manager and published author, and Oscar Brock, Southeastern Archaeology specialist of the Middle Archaic Period, circa 6500 BC., will share intriguing information about relatively undisturbed sites dating from prehistoric and historic times in the St. Johns River area. Those at all levels of archaeological knowledge will enjoy this program. Nominations for 2023 officers will be presented during a brief membership meeting. Free and open to the public.
