Historian and lifetime WVHS member Sally Landis Bohon will tell the stories of courageous enterprising women who were influential in the development of DeLand. These women then faced the incredible risks of frontier living, or were activists who created critical organizations, including the Hospital Auxiliary, Woman’s Club and the Junior Service League, championing education, health care and religious opportunities.
