Local History Talk – The DeLand Racial History Project

Kevin Winchell, director of community engagement at Stetson University, will share information about an interesting research project that many local organizations and Stetson students, faculty and staff have conducted through a number of sources, including newspaper articles, oral histories, the census and property records. Learn about the project and identify how we can build an accessible, centralized repository for these collections that can be used by the public. A discussion period will follow the introduction to the project.
