Nature at Night: Galapagos Islands

November 16, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Galapagos Islands are known for their unique animal species and for being a location of Charles Darwin’s research. Enjoy photographs taken by Christie Miller during her explorations. Fascinating information about the islands’ formation and the animals that live there will be revealed. Blue-footed boobies, giant tortoises and marine iguanas will be featured. The program concludes with a look at how these animals compare to those in Lyonia Preserve. After the discussion, the Friends of Lyonia Environmental Center will provide pizza and nonalcoholic beverages. All ages are welcome. Free. Reservations are required; call 386-789-7207, ext. 21028.
