Parachutes for Patriots

8 a.m. tandem jumps for veterans begin at Skydive DeLand, 1600 Flight Line Blvd., DeLand. An event honoring veterans and their families from across the country during a weekend of community, camaraderie, and adaptive skydiving. Spectators are welcome. A block party follows at 6 p.m. behind The Elusive Grape, 129 N. Woodland Blvd., Downtown DeLand. Admission to the block party (includes food, beer, wine, and live music): $35; free for registered veterans and their families.
