Sanford Jazz Ensemble: Doo-Wop to Early Rock

In celebration of Black History Month, the Sanford Jazz Ensemble recognizes the influence that African American groups, such as The Mills Brothers and The Ink Spots, had on doo-wop and early rock ’n’ roll. This jazz concert features music of The Drifters, The Coasters, The Chantells, Jay and the Americans, The Diamonds, The Del-Vikings, Dion and the Belmonts, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, The Silhouettes, The Cadillacs, The Shirelles, The Duprees, Bill Haley and His Comets, and The Crests.
