9-11 a.m. at Hickory Bluff Preserve, 598 Guise Road, Osteen. Paddle the St. Johns River, and take in the scenic beauty of this slow-moving waterway. Learn about the plants and animals that live along the shores and under the waters. Those age 10 and older are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult. Paddlers must bring a watercraft, a personal flotation device such as a life jacket, and a whistle, and wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet. Free.
