‘Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day’

9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chuck Lennon Park, 5000 Greenfield Dairy Road, DeLeon Springs. Bikes will be inspected. A warm-up course is designed to give new riders a fun way to experience trail conditions in a closed course before they embark on their Screaming Hawk trail journey. Volunteers will coach new riders and discuss trail rules and etiquette. Family members can stand on the sideline and cheer. Riders will be sectioned into appropriate experience/age groups that will follow their designated trail escort. An after-ride gathering will follow with food and snacks. Free.
