VITA Tax Assistance

Free tax preparation services for individuals who are eligible for the earned income tax credit or the child tax credit, people with disabilities, the elderly, and limited-English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance preparing their tax returns. Documents needed: proof of identification (government-issued photo ID); original signed Social Security cards for you, your spouse and dependents; wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers; interest and dividend statements from banks (Form 1099 and 1095-A, B or C); health insurance statements; a copy of last year’s federal and state tax returns if available; total paid for day care providers and their tax identifying number.
