Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association

October 20, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) will welcome Heather Files, executive director of the Halifax Historical Society Museum, as the guest speaker at their October professional development luncheon. This meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Dennis McGee Room at the Daytona Beach International Airport.
Files, who started with the museum in 2020 , will talk on the topic, “Rebranding Strategies: Updating Your Company without Losing Your Audience.” Prior to the Halifax Historical Society, Files worked in the food service industry, specifically fine dining for many years.
The Halifax Historical Society was founded in 1949 to gather, preserve, and present the history of the Halifax River area to educate the public. The museum’s permanent exhibits showcase the history of the greater Daytona Beach area, from Ormond Beach through Ponce Inlet and Port Orange (known as the Halifax Area, after our river), the museum’s timeline begins with artifacts dating from 2,500 to 5,000 B.C.E.
Register by noon on October 17 at fpravf.org. Lunch is included in the cost of $30 for members, $40 for non-members, and $15 for students. Walk-ins are accepted for a $5 additional surcharge.
