World Turtle Day

Celebrate World Turtle Day by helping turtles at Hiles Boulevard Beach Park. Participants will assemble signs that read “Keep Off the Dunes” to protect gopher tortoises and their burrows, along with painting stakes to mark sea-turtle nests on the beach. An environmental specialist will share information about endangered and threatened turtles in Volusia County. Free. Registration is required; call 386-736-5927.
