20th of May Emancipation Day in Florida Celebration: Movie in the Park

Dr. Noble “Thin Man” Watts Amphitheater 322 S. Clara Ave., DeLand

Learn about the Emancipation Proclamation and other contributions to end slavery in the state of Florida. The proclamation will be read aloud. Also, student essays; artwork; live entertainment. Though it’s not required, those attending are encouraged to dress in 1880s fashion. Free.
